Hi!

We are the AStA

Surely you already have a rough idea of what the AStA is. At this point we would like to introduce ourselves in more detail.
We are elected as representatives in the AStA (General Student Committee) for a term of office of one and a half years. The AStA consists of the board of chairpersons (Vorstand), representatives (Referenten*innen) and employees. As the executive body in the student self-administration, we are in direct contact with the students. Our job is to execute the tasks delegated by the StuPa and to carry out independent projects. In recent years we have organised all kinds of events. You can look forward to a number of interesting activities this semester as well. Every student can stand for an honorary position in the AStA. In addition, we are always happy to have motivated people who help with the implementation of projects.
You can contact us by email, on Facebook or directly in our office if you have a concern. This includes eliminating problems and taking up ideas and suggestions. We are in contact with the university’s committees (Gremien) so that we can start initiatives and take a position on current issues.

Furthermore, we are responsible for promoting student life and political education among the student body, and we take on representative tasks within the university.

That all sounds kind of complicated?

It is not! Actually, there is only one thing to say about us: our ultimate goal is to enable you to study comfortably! We come up with all sorts of ideas and maintain contacts so that we have an answer ready for (almost) every question.
